In this case, I think a little of both. On Fremont St. this week is a Styx tribute band and while they are good I just haven't enjoyed their show as much as I have some of the other tributes that have been here this summer. Their one big strength is that the lead singer really does sound like Dennis DeYoung. The drunk "Styx fans" are really funny as they only know 2 songs and keep requesting "Babe" and "Renegade" over and over and ignoring the other songs. The band does do quite a few of Styx's better songs though even if most people, even those who call themselves Styx fans, don't know them. Their rendition of "Don't Let It End" is rather impressive as they have the harmonies down quite well.
On a more personal note, Kendra is currently angry with me for telling her mother, via Taz, about the 44 year old guy who has been trying to have a "relationship" with her. How a 44yo could even think about having a relationship with a 15yo girl is beyond me. I'd rather have her angry with me for a time, though, than to see her get hurt by this person; so as long as she is safe I'm a happy camper. Tasha is trying to get together with one of the security guards on Fremont St., Adam, but she is being chicken about talking to him herself and I don't think it is going to happen in any event for reasons I'd rather not blog about and embarrass her.
Next week the tribute is to Pink Floyd, looking forward to that one, should be some fun there. The following week will be a Fleetwood Mac tribute and if it is the same band they had last time they did a Fleetwood Mac tribute on Fremont it will be great. They really did a wonderful job and Fleetwood Mac has always been one of my favorite groups.
That's about all for now, have fun and remember,
What Happens in Vegas...
